Directions for each page to represent the six program goals
To create each page on your portfolio, you will begin by identifying the goal. Next, you will upload a product to demonstrate your ability to meet each indicator identified. All products submitted in your portfolio as evidence must be assignments that were completed in your courses during your program of study and represent original work created by you. For example, the goal for Technology and Technology Integration is "Goal 4: Candidates demonstrate their understanding of technology and technology integration" and one of the indicators that is represented is "Indicator 1: Use a variety of technology tools to develop engaging learning experience and assessment techniques" Next, in a paragraph provide a description of the artifact that is uploaded as evidence of your ability to meet the indicator. Repeat this procedure for each product uploaded. Two to three products should
be uploaded for each goal. Finally, your reflection will be uploaded as an attached Word document file. A sample follows below.

The product that I have chosen to represent Principle 7 focuses on using a variety of technology tools to develop engaging learning experiences and assessment techniques. The product consists of an artifact from CIEC 600 Instructional Design and Technology. It is a continuation of the Data Analysis Unit that I created, involving Day 5 through Day 7 of the unit lesson plan; consisting of lesson plans and activities. I created whole group discussion activities by the use of online resources such as: Bing images and Google images for the creation of pictographs and worksheets, and Microsoft Office Word program for the
creation of worksheets, directions for activities, and discussion questions. The highlighting feature was used to enhance the visual effect to accommodate the visual learners.
A RAFT assignment was included as part of the activities, that was from the West Virginia Department of Education website, as a teaching esource. A digital camera was used to take pictures of posters to display by the use of the Elmo document reader and data projector for all students to be able to view during the instruction. The Microsoft Word program was used to copy and paste free worksheets from the internet for student activities. An interactive website was used for students to create a pictograph to practice
the skill. Also, the Acuity interactive website was used for a test for the students, as part of an assessment for learning. Teacher instruction was enhanced by the use of a laptop computer, Elmo document reader, and a data projector. In addition, laptop computer usage by the students and interactive websites are also activities involving technology integration. Furthermore, hands-on activities involving students to work in cooperative groups and an activity involving students to utilize the Microsoft Excel program, to create a
frequency table and bar graph, are included in the activities.
This product primarily meets this indicator for three primary reasons. First, technology is used to locate and develop classroom resources so that the learning experiences can be engaging for students. Second, once these resources were located, a variety of technology tools were integrated into classroom instruction. This aspect of the lesson motivated students to participate in learning and exploring the content. Third, by using Acuity, assessment results were collected and analyzed to further inform instruction.
